COVID-19 Ministry Update August 25, 2020
Dear Families,
I pray this message finds you well. Our High School Youth Ministry schedule is below:
In light of COVID-19 the Diocese has provided guidelines and a waiver that each participant will need to complete in order to participate in person. For the foreseeable future, when we gather in person, we will follow CDC, DHEC, diocesan, and parish guidelines for gatherings. These guidelines listed below include, but are not limited to:
In addition to the procedural guidelines above there is a waiver that parents must complete in order for their student(s) to participate in person (one waiver is good for the entire summer). Anyone who does not have a signed waiver will not be allowed to participate in person until the waiver is completed and submitted.
While these procedures and waiver are not how we envisioned our ministry year to begin, the safety of our community is paramount while balancing the need for socialization. If you have any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to call or email me.
All students in grades 9-12 are invited and encouraged to attend. Friends (high school aged) are always welcome at any of our Youth Ministry gatherings regardless of their faith background. Parents are also welcome to join us to see all that we do during our meetings.
Our High School Ministry is more than our Sunday night meetings. We offer and participate in a variety of programming at local, diocesan, and national levels. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We hope to see you soon!
We gather to foster Missionary Discipleship by connecting people to Jesus Christ and one another through our Catholic Faith Community.
High School 11th & 12th grade students are faced with a lot of big decisions, stress, and a touch of uncertainty. Join us as we wade through all of that and begin to ask the question, "what does God want of me?"
Our Junior/Senior Discernment group kicks off Sunday, Oct. 18th just after our High School Youth Night.
Keep in mind - discernment doesn't automatically mean a vocation to the religious life (though we'll have those discussions as well).
